About Hannah

Thank-you for taking the time to visit my website! Exercising and being active has always been a big part of my life and continues to drive me on.

Born and raised in Vancouver, I have grown to love the city’s parks and outdoor activities. I enjoy running and participating in athletic events, including the Vancouver marathon and the local Grouse Grind. With my running partner, my father, I hope to finish many more fun and exciting events whether it be in our city or abroad. I have traveled, studied and lived in Australia, Singapore, & Malaysia over the last 20 years, but will always enjoy what Vancouver has to offer.

I studied at the University of British Columbia: first in a Bachelors of Human Kinetics (BHK) with a Commerce Minor and then my Master of Physical Therapy degree (MPT). My aim is to help and rehab others to return to their active selves, be athletically conditioned, be conscious of their well-being, and to be able to achieve their health and fitness goals.

Some of my other interests include hiking, cycling, sewing, cooking (particularly southeast Asian cuisine), and teaching piano (certified with the Royal Conservatory of Music).

Philosophy

Our bodies are meant to MOVE! We are designed to experience a wide array of movement and so we must take advantage of this blessing by using it to our fullest. I believe in fun, enjoyable, and rewarding experiences that allow our bodies to feel strong: physically, emotionally, and socially. Being physically active and healthy requires us to make a decision to be in motion rather than be motionless, so that’s why I say just “MOVE!”

Mission Statement

To impact the lives of people by encouraging them to love and take care of their bodies through active rehabilitation, being consciously healthy, and athletically conditioned.

Why choose a Physiotherapist and Kinesiologist?

As a Physiotherapist, I am a university trained professional who has studied and learned under internationally recognized professors and teachers. I have over 10 years of experience as a physiotherapist as well as hundreds of hours in hands-on courses. The rigorous hours of studying and learning have brought me to where I am today.

As a Kinesiologist, I have over 7 years of experience training and working with individuals who have a variety of athletic, health, and fitness goals. This includes years of active rehabilitation for those recovering from injuries and liaising with other health care team providers.
